Ayodele Olubunmi Oni passed away on August 5, 2022 at his home in Bakersfield, CA, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Nigeria in 1950 to Joseph and Juliana Oni, Ayodele was a skilled soccer player and math enthusiast who moved to the States to attend Fresno Pacific College, where he met his wife and soulmate of forty-six years, Becky. He worked as an engineer for Texaco and Chevron in both Bakersfield and Houston until his retirement in 2015. He loved visiting the beach with his wife, tending to his prosperous backyard garden, playing with his grandsons, and sharing his wisdom and laughter with everyone he held dear. He is survived by his wife Becky, their sons Nick and Nathan, twin daughters Julie and Jessica, and grandsons Joey, Isaiah, Myles, and James. A service celebrating his life will be held at Laurelglen Bible Church, 2801 Ashe Road, 93309, on Saturday, August 20th at 11:00am.
