MARY LOUISE DENISON

September 30, 1933 - January 7, 2022

Mary was born in Bakersfield, CA to August and Louise Martin. She was a graduate of Bakersfield High School and earned an Associate Degree from Bakersfield College. After graduating from College Mary went to work for the District Attorney's office where she worked and retired after 31 years.

She met and married her husband and the love of her life John Denison Jr. shortly after graduating college. They would have been married 68 years next month. They had a beautiful marriage with so many wonderful memories. They were always together and loved birthdays, holidays, special celebrations and dinners with family and friends.

Mary had one son John Denison III. He was her pride and joy and where she spent much of her time with while he was growing up. She was so proud of him and his accomplishments. She was proud of her entire family and loved sharing about them in her annual Christmas letter to family and friends.

She had 3 grandchildren, Christopher Lehr, Danielle Lehr and John Denison IV and 5 great grandchildren, Presley, Layla, Jackson, Lucas and Savannah. She loved them all and was always interested in what was going on with each of them and their friends too. She was a dedicated wife, mom and grandma and will be deeply missed by all.

She was an angel on earth and is now an angel in heaven.

She leaves behind her husband John Denison Jr., son John (Darlene) Denison, grandchildren Christopher (Danielle) Lehr, Danielle (Dakota) Plotner, and John Denison IV and her 5 beautiful great grandchildren.

Her viewing will be on Monday, January 17th from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Mission Family Mortuary. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 18th at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with a rosary at 9:30am and mass at 10:00am. Dedication of the grave will be at 1:15pm at the Bakersfield National Cemetery.
