Teresa Alejandra Recinos was truly sent from heaven to us 13 years ago from Guatemala. Our family was in crises, and as our relative, she came to help us heal and be our respite caregiver for our severely disabled son, Carlos William.

Teresa had many fine qualities - the first being her unwavering dedication to Jesus Christ. Every morning and night down on her knees she would pray. She read her bible and sang Christian hymns that would fill our home with joy. She also loved to cook for her family. She could whip up a delicious meal in minutes.

She loved her family and her church, Templo Calvario, and the members as well. She would always take Carlos William with her to church and church members came to know and love them both.

Never a day went by when she didn't have a smile on her face, and when you asked her how she was, her standard response was “I am fine, Gracias a Dios!” She also always responded with “Primero Dios!” whenever something in life came up that we didn't know how to respond to.

Teresa has left a huge hole in our hearts and lives. She leaves behind brother Carlos H. Recinos, nephew Carlos William Recinos, sister-in-law Patrice M. Gemus, daughters Veronica “Yani” Gonzalez, Karina Cifuentes, sons Marvin Cifuentes, Luis Garicia all of Guatemala, and Hugo Garicia of Los Angeles. Sister Leticia Aragon, brother-in-law Rudy Aragon, and brother Mario Recinos. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren as well as a great grand child.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Greenlawn Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., with viewing at 1 p.m. and service at 2 p.m. In addition, the service will be broadcast via webcast: http://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/64491. Reception following at Hodel's.

She will be remembered forever.
