ROSELLA MARIE KIRKPATRICK

November 30, 1926 – September 4, 2021

Rosella was born in Apache, Oklahoma on November 30, 1926. She left to be with the Lord on September 4, 2021 in Bakersfield, CA. She was 94.

Rosella was the youngest of nine children born to parents Martha Elizabeth and Albert Nolan Kirkpatrick. She had seven sisters, one brother, two nephews and one niece all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by 13 nieces and nephews, as wells as many great, great-great and great-greatgreat nieces and nephews.

She spent her childhood and young adult life in Delano, CA., attending Fremont and Cecil Avenue Elementary Schools and Delano High School. Her first job was as a bookkeeper for Bill Elkins Delano Tire Shop at Main Street and 11th Avenue. Later, the family moved to Ventura and then to San Luis Obispo where she worked as a bookkeeper at the County of San Luis Obispo.

Rosella moved to Bakersfield and worked at a tire company and an oil production company until retirement. She spent most of her adult life as a member of Bakersfield First Assembly Church. She was a charter resident at the Assembly Manor, a church facility for senior citizens. The congregation and staff at BFA as well as many other people always spoke of her as a very sweet and pleasant person (which she surely was).

Rosella spent the last years of her life at “Devine Mercy” assisted living facility. Services for Rosella will be graveside at Greenlawn Mortuary and Cemetery Southwest, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93313. On Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 9:00 AM. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Bakersfield Assembly of God Church, 4901 California Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93309.
