Chanukah celebration

Night two of the eight-day festival of Chanukah took place Monday night in downtown Tehachapi.
Close to 50 people attended the annual Menorah Lighting ceremony. Led by Rabbi Shmuli Schlanger of Chabad of Bakersfield, the rabbi shared the significance of the eight days of candle lighting and gift giving.
Traditional Jewish songs were sung, and warm latkes and traditional cream-filled doughnuts were eaten.
