PUBLIC HEALTH: 93561 SEES 3,828 CORONAVIRUS CASES

The Tehachapi ZIP code of 93561 has seen 3,828 confirmed cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began, according to Kern County Public Health Services figures available as of Monday.

Of those cases, 1,644 people have recovered from their illness and 2,085 people are presumed to have recovered, Public Health reports.

Kern’s case count, as of Monday, stands at 108,652 since the pandemic began. There have been 1,354 deaths.

Public Health reports that 38,623 people have recovered from the illness, and 67,156 people are presumed to have recovered.

This is the age breakdown of the positive cases: 13,181 people age 17 and under; 65,535 ages 18 to 49; 19,779 people ages 50 to 64; and 10,069 people ages 65 and older.

The state reports that 19 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 in Kern, and four of those are in intensive care.
